The Goldilocks Mission Space Center will be situated in a corner of Southwestern New Mexico. It will accommodate 36 men and 36 women called Skydets who will live and conduct research for the Goldilocks Mission.
The Space Center will be built in the northeast area of the land. It will be a 4-sided 2 storey building. It will be situated on the highest elevation of the property which boasts a dramatic view of the gorgeous valley down below. The first floor will be a square concrete with 3 feet fixed wall overhang on three sides. This overhang will serve as a shade for comfort especially during hot summer’s day. The front side of the Space Center will have a stylish portico with tapered round columns on Tuscan capitals and bases. The porch flooring will have a natural-looking wood grain finish that provides the safety of a slip resistant surface. Altogether, the portico resembles an elegant art that signifies a romantic setting.
Behind the arched-door entrance will be a 1000-sq. ft. open lobby with a yellowish brown Daltile Pompeii floor polished to such a high sheen it looks wet. Four benches with gilded ball-and-claw feet will be symmetrically arranged on the floor and a well-designed black and gold Shaw carpet will be laid in the middle. The lobby will have a reception counter located at the right side from the front door and will be surrounded with six elegant carpet-floored rooms used for offices, 200 sq. ft. each. Office walls and ceilings will be painted with the most sophisticated shades of gray like the side of a Wall Street boardroom. The lobby will be painted beige to have that cool and warm feel at the same time. ‘His’ and ‘Her’ rooms will be situated in an inward space of the first level after the three rooms on the left. These lavatories will be fitted with equipment for washing the hands and face and have five toilet facilities in each. There will be a spacious room positioned at the opposite side of the main door. A handcrafted staircase will be positioned opposite the reception counter. Two more identical office spaces will be situated on the second floor for the Chief Executive and his assistants. The workplace will be bordered by a narrow passageway that has large sliding translucent glass doors that go out directly to the covered veranda which is set completely around the four sides of the building.
Above the second floor will be an eye-catching sky observation room set in the middle top of the Space Center with a large circular bed and an astronomical telescope.
Accessible quarters for many of the Skydets will rest at the south of the Space Center, having two floors each - all with balcony views of the beautiful landscaped area. The cottages are small, self-contained but very attractive Zen designed units that can be easily maintained and is very comfortable. Each will have living and dining areas, a wide bedroom and a suitable bathroom. And each unit can accommodate a maximum of four.
The complete Center will be used as a research, design, staging, life modeling and assimilating facility to create as closely as practical the living conditions aboard the spacecrafts during the journey, of possibly multi-generations, and the landing and settlement of a new planet.
